- Best On-Paper Design
- Best Art in a Game
- Best Concept Art
- Best Technical Innovation
- Best Game Writing
- Best Audio
And the key dates are:
- 23rd July, 2012 – Awards submissions open
- 20th August, 2012 – Submission deadline
- 5th September, 2012 – Announcement of shortlisted projects
- 19 – 23 September, 2012– Freeplay Independent Games Festival
- 23rd September, 2012 – Freeplay Awards Ceremony
